Island Treats Sweet Shop Island Treats Sweet Shop is the delightful family run sweet shop based in Newport on the Isle of Wight in England that has been selling sweets for over 100 years.
Sold from the jar by the quater, Island Treats boasts over 200 types of traditional sweets, so be old or young, Island Treats is sure to have what you are looking for.
Sweets available to buy from the jar include the ever popular Original Toffee Crumble, The old favourite Sweet Tobacco, as well as Cough Candy, wrapped or unwrapped, Rhubarb and Custard, and Glisten Aniseed Balls.
Also sold from Jars come Family favourite sweet Bon Bon’s, in Strawberry, Apple, Chocolate and toffee flavours.
Island Treats has also become a sweet shop to the stars following the resurrection of the nearby Isle of Wight Rock Festival, with Kate Moss being our most famous customer.
Island Treats also stocks favourite old fashioned sweets such as Aniseed Twist, Sweet Peanuts, Old fashioned Humbugs, Everton Mints, Liqourice Wood and even Tiger Nut’s as well as many, many more. It is no surprise one of the most common phrases people utter when they visit us is ‘I haven’t seen that for years!’
Sarsparilla Sticks, Coltsfoot Rock, Quiggins Kendal Mint Cake, Edinburgh Castle Rock, Buttermint Bon Bon’s, Trebor Mints, Cadbury’s Chocolate Eclairs, Maynards Wine Gums, Lions Butterscotch Gums: They are all available at Island Treats from the jar.
Island Treats also stocks a wide range of Liquorice sweets to suit all tastes, including world famous Bassetts Liqourice Allsorts, the delicious Haribo Liqourice Comfits or the tasty Haribo Pontefract Cakes.
Also available from Island Treats are traditional assorted toffees from Walkers in flavours ranging from traditional dairy flavour to Roasted Almond, as well as fudge ranging in flavours from Rum & Raisen to Banana.
